I realized it has been a while since I gave you all an update on where our two little munchkins are at...
Lucas is now 10 months and is becoming a really funny little one. He is all smiles! He is still crawling everywhere and very fast, but walks if he can hold on to something (his preferred way of moving by far). I thought he'd be walking by now but he is not quite there yet. One thing we have to mention is his love for eating... the boy will eat like he is on a mission for hours, literally. He will eat anything and now that he has 4 new teeth (2 on top and 2 on bottom) there's no stopping him. He seems so little but I guess all his eating is finally paying off and he is growing because his brand new snowsuit, which was super big when we bought it, is already getting too small.
He, like most discovering babies I guess, has a passion for the dog food and dirt. It seems like every time I turn around he is playing in the dog food or emptying the dirt from the plants and oh yes playing with the water in the toilet (yuk). The poor little guy now has eczema all over his face. What started like little red patches on his cheeks is now all around his face and on his wrist. It looks so painful but thank God it doesn't seem to bather him much. We now have some prescription cream that we put on him once everyday and special moisturizing lotion every chance we get. He still has the cutest little smiles and uses it every chance he gets.
Emma is almost 2.5 years old and is also doing exactly what she should be. You might have read earlier about her tantrums, well it seems like they are getting better and lesser. She is a little fire ball of energy (and the people downstairs from us are loving it...not!). She loves to run fast and dance. We bought her a Christmas DVD, Santa Paws, which has been playing almost none stop since we got it. And in it there's scene where all the girls magically gets into fancy dresses and sing and dance.
Every time this scene comes on she comes to us with one of her pretty dress and says she wants to be like the friends on TV, so we put on the dress and she will dance away with her friends on TV!!! Talking about Christmas, it has been fun this year to introduce Emma to Santa Claus and what he does. She told me the other day that Santa was bringing her a little gift and Lucas a big gift. Every time I ask her what she will ask Santa for Christmas she keeps answering a horse and a cow... So we thought she would have a blast meeting Santa this year. We took her to meet Santa at the mall and she was so excited and took one look at him... and ran the other way!!! We. of course took her anyway:) This year the picture with Santa looks like this: Santa is holding Lucas, who thinks the world is just as fine as it could be, Emma holding on to me with her dear life on one side of Santa and Jeff on the other side... Well I can't tell the last time I got my picture done with Santa!!! Emma has been a blabber mouth. She talks and talks and talks some more. I can understand pretty much everything she is saying, but I'm afraid I might be the only one! She loves to talk on the phone and will talk your ear off without letting you place one word and then in the middle of it she will say the cutest "bye bye" and hang up! She really is a great kid and so much fun to be around.
So there you have it for now! Don't forget to click on the picture above to get to more pictures.
