Visit to Montreal

Half of the people on my side of the family have birthdays in the last week of August and first week of September. This year was a special one because there were quite a few people reaching special numbers... Emmanuelle's 1st year, Guillaume's 30th, France and Uncle Raymond, and then we also had Francine, Rosalie, Tante Marie. So it only made sense that we visited during that time.

As usual we had a blast visiting with our family and friends. We were able to stay in Ste-Emilie for almost the entire week and just enjoy the country. We walked in the woods, went for a quick swim in the very cold lake...Emma went skiny dipping! One of the things that my family loves is corn season. The corn in Quebec is so sweet and so good. We can have it for lunch and dinner every day. Emma jumped right in the family tradition and demanded to have her own corn on the cob to chew on.

We attended Marika's 3rd birthday party. We were lucky enough to get into Montreal just in time for Anabelle's birth. Anabelle is my friend Marie-Claude and Martin's new baby girl that we visited at only 4 days old. She was so cute and so content. She was born at only 6 1/2 pounds, Emma was never even that little! Congrats Marie-Claude and Martin!
