Fall is here!

Emmanuelle is 13 months old and continues to amaze Jeff and I everyday. Her first word was "Babouuu" (our dog Balou), for a while the first sound she made in the morning when she woke up was "Babou". But we have since regressed and now Balou is called "BahBah". A couple of weeks ago she said the prettiest "maman", I had tears in my eyes when I heard it. She is currently crazy about all "bah" (balls, balloons, or what ever is round), which she will say over and over until she gets the ball. She will point out all the balloons at the grocery store and she is very good at finding them even from far away. We are trying really hard to say "papa" every chance we have and hopefully that will be her next word. We are amazed that even though she cannot tell us what she wants, she lets know in so many other ways. When she wants a specific object she will go get it or point to it, when she is hungry she will hang from her high chair, when she is tired and ready for bed she will go to the fridge and whine.

She is so curious. She will explore and climb on everything she can. Every night she will go to the book shelf where all of her books are , climb on the chair and get every book out one by one and bring me the one that she wants that day. She is still obsessed with phones. She may have 4-5 play phones but she knows that they are not the real deal. Her favorite is the cell phone. Practically impossible to get a cell phone out without her having a fit until she gets it. The swing is still her favorite outside activity. She wants to do everything by herself now. On our weekend walk, there is no need for the stroller for about half of the walk since she wants to walk with us and explore.

I am amazed by how big she is now. She is not a little baby anymore, but she is still my little girl of course. We love her so much!!!

What a difference a year can make!
