Thanksgiving is one of the American Holidays that have really embrassed over the years. First I say American Holidays because although we have a Thanksgiving in Canada it is not celebrated to the same extend as it is in the States. Previously, Christmas was always at the top of my favorite Holidays, but some years all the gifts and getting the "right " gift gets overwhelming. I love that Thanksgiving is about hanging with family and friends, great food, an occasion to reflect on all the good things in our life, football, and the start of Christmas season. And for anyone that knows me even just a little bit and knows my love of cooking you can imagine that the cooking is just a great challenge for me. This year was not exception! First we started with our traditional Turkey trot...you feel much better about eating all that good food after you've run/walk in the morning. Then we had Jeff's family over for Thanksgiving dinner and it was great to see everyone and the food was delicious.
We have so much to be thankful for this year it would be too long to start naming...but of course at the top of the list is our precious little Emmanuelle and our future little bundle of joy. This was a great opportunity to reflect on all the good things that we have going on in our life right now and how fortunate we are to have our friends and family in our life.
P.S.: Jeff has been out of town for a conference and he is by far the computer savy between the two of us and usually uploads the pictures to Flicker and links it to the blog. I have no idea how to do that and will not try to figure it out. When Jeff comes back I promise to have him post more pictures.
