Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all of you. We hope you all had a great holiday and wish you all the best for 2009.

Christmas was very special this year for Jeff and I because it was Emmanuelle's 1st one. We spent 2 weeks in Canada in the snow and lots of it. It was awesome!!! Nothing beats a white Christmas.

The beginning of our trip was very stressful. I was misinformed and thought we did not need a passport for Emma to come to Canada. Well that is not the case and you can imagine our faces when the people at the airport told we would not be able to take her with us. Luckily, if you cross the Canadian/USA lines by land you don't need a passport yet. So we changed our plane tickets to the closest city possible, which ended up being Syracuse, NY. From there we rented a car and drove to Montreal just on time to cut the Christmas tree with my family. We showed off our little girl to all of my family and friends as much as possible. Then Jeff's parents and sister joined us for a couple of days and experienced the real snow and ice. Unfortunately, the weather did not cooporate and changed our plans to go skiing. Luckily we had rented places in Quebec city and were able to visit during 2 days. I even got to eat some "tire d'erable", which is one of my all time favorites. But all good things must come to an end, and we had to come back to the 80 degree weather in Dallas!

I miss you both, and hope to see you again someday. If you ever visit the ATL, drop me a line so we can meet up.
