Montreal here we are!

So we made it to Montreal all in one piece!

My mother came to Dallas the week before the move to help us pack. And with the help of Jeff's mom and mine we got it done on time for the movers to pack the trailer. My brother also came down to Dallas for a short stay to help us with the cars and dogs. My brother and Jeff each drove one car and had one dog for the 3 days drive from Dallas to Montreal. My mom and I each had one kid on our lap on the plane...didn't think we could entertain Emma and Lucas in a car for 3 days!

We got here just in time for the hot weather. Montreal gets really hot just a couple of days per year and of course we were here for it. When we got here it was 95 F, actually warmer than Texas, and with no AC we were sweating!!! But now it is back to the expected canadian weather and it is much cooler. We actually needed our fleeces a couple of days.

Jeff's job got delayed a week, which turned out OK since the moving truck got here 5 days after they had told us it would and we also used the extra time to get all the paper work of moving to another country started. Jeff is working in Ottawa, but temporarily (4-6 months) in Montreal. So we will spend the summer in Montreal and then move to Ottawa. This was perfect timing as several of my friends just had babies and are on maternity leave....this means lots of play dates with old friends and their kids! And spending lots of time with my family.
