- Good Mexican food
- Good barbecue food
- Target (they only have walmart here)
- Stubbs BBQ sauce (scratch that we just found some in a Libanese grocery store)
- Our Friday night diner at Central Market (Fancy grocery store in Dallas with a very good cafe)
- Kinko's (such store just does not really exist here)
- Caffeinated Mountain Dew for Jeff (the ountain dew here is caffein free)
- Internet replay of our favorite TV shows (for some reasons it won't let us watch any since we are in Canada)
- Drive-thru Starbucks
- Drive-thru ATM (it is hard to get all the kids out of the car seat everytime)
But of course we also have been enjoying lots of things here in Montreal...
- Fresh bagel
- Abondance of very very good pastries and bread and cheese and pate (not good for our weight)
- Having lots of visits with my old friends
- Going to the park and making new friends (because of the 1 year paid maternity leave Quebec is having a big increase in babies and all the moms love going to the park just like me!)
- Jeff is having fun tasting all the diffenerent beer from the local microbruweries
- Free immunizations (haven't had to use the health care for anything else yet...knock on wood!)
- Fresh local strawberries
- Marche Jean-Talon (one of the best farmers market in the world I think)
- Abondance of real maple syrup (and not overpriced)
- Lobster season
- I had forgotten how culturally diverse Montreal is... we drive thru little italy, chinatown, the farmer's market, we see all sort of restaurants of different ethnicity.
